Life Update

If you’ve followed me for a while, you may have noticed I’ve been more or less MIA around here for a little bit. While I’ve continued to monitor my site, I just haven’t had the bandwidth to add new content.

And there’s a good reason: over the past year and a half, I’ve been making forward progress in my dream of becoming a writer. I’ve written two complete novels, with a third just wrapping up, and I’m actively querying literary agents to find a home for these stories (and hopefully many more to come)! It’s been a long journey with a steep learning curve, but I’ve loved (almost) every minute of it!

You all have the benefit of knowing the spoonie side of my story, which bleeds onto the pages of my writing everywhere. In keeping with my own experiences, my manuscripts are sprinkled with medical journeys–something I didn’t necessarily set out to do. I just can’t help myself, though, and the patient/nurse in me keeps pulling the plots in that direction. In the end, I hope it means people like you and me are able to see their journeys reflected on the page, with an accurate portrayal of both the struggles and victories of life with chronic illness and disability.

If you’d like to keep up with my progress, I’d love to invite you to join my newsletter list, or follow along on Instagram or Facebook, where I post regularly. In the meantime, I hope to pop back here from time to time with new posts and fresh ideas!
